Greetings,

I  am Jeffery Wallace,  president of the Gamma Xi chapter of the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. and I would like  to personally welcome and thank you for visiting www.gammaxi1947.com, the official website of the Golden Gamma Xi Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. seated at the University of California, Los Angeles,  one of the largest and most prominent universities in the world.  Gamma Xi Chapter also includes Loyola Marymount University. Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc.  has a strong legacy of servant leadership within the Black community , with prominent members such as Dr. Martin Luther King, W.E.B. DuBois, Frederick Douglas, Thurgood Marshall, Paul Roberson and Cornell West, just to name a few.

Historically, Gamma Xi has been a agent advocating for change , economically, politically, and socially, at UCLA, with members instrumental in starting programs like the High Potential Program (later developed into AAP), Reggae Fest, 18th Annual Martin Luther King Jr. Oratorical Contest, as well as being the 1^st chapter within the Western Region of Alpha Phi Alpha to win National College Chapter of the Year in 1987.

Today, Gamma Xi stands prepared, to provide the necessary tools, resources and skills to address our community needs in order to survive on the  college campus and within their local communities, with our chapter initiatives: FAROAH, Gamma Xi Scholars, and African Consciousness . Gamma Xi has proven to uphold all of its aims, while being Back to Back to Back  Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity , Inc.  College Chapter with the Highest Grade Point Average(03,04,05), 2005 Western Region College Chapter of the Year and  Back 2 Back 2 Back  Western Region College Brother of the Year(02, 03, 04).
